The ones within arms reach: Currently a Rogue baritone and a soprano that has no maker's marks of any kind on it anywhere.
Who are your favorite ukulele players?
Like my ukes, its the uke player I can hear at the moment. I blame Marcy for getting me back into playing ukulele, and the many wonderful folks at UU for keeping me inspired.

Ukulele took me by surprise

Other than the way learning to frail completely changed my entire musical life, nothing has been more delightfully unexpected than how much picking up the ukulele has inspired me.

Several years ago, in an effort to get my girlie interested in music, I bought a $20 ukulele from a local music store. She was delighted. She learned a couple of chords. She made up songs while picking the strings. The next day it was propped up on her dresser and she didn't touch it again.

hi brother...yes indeed, after you mentioned 'the congress' i spoke with Mike from Mainland about it... knowing this early, i am planning on going...will begin doing research, tickets, lodging, etc. after the holidays.
