Hi Tim, we've been playing ukulele for about the same length of time. I really love it too. How lucky for you to be in Texas so close to a lot of terrific players and some very hot music scenes. I used to visit Austin when I lived in Houston in the 80s and I sure wish it was just three hours away these days. Looking forward to getting to know you.

Johnny Marvin, Cliff Edwards, Al Bowlly, Kelli Rae Powell, Victoria Vox, J. Walter Hawkes, Fabulous Heftones, Jim Beloff, Tim Sweeney, Li'l Rev, and Janet Klein, to name just a few.

My Musical Biography
I started learning the ukulele in May of 2006, and it quickly became a semi-obsession. I joined the Dallas Ukulele Headquarters in the fall of '07 and that's been a wonderful way to meet more local uke players and get a little more experience playing in front of others. I began posting some videos to YouTube in December of 2007, (as "timboytx") and that has been a valuable educational tool on its own. My main interest, musically, is the jazz and popular songs of the 1930s.
