Sorry missed your comment earlier - here is the new uke - decided to call her "Holly" - as she is a Xmas uke - and that heart-shape could be mistaken for an ivy leaf :-)

Hope the Wayback Machine helps :-) Love my new uke - I'll have to post some photos. It is not amongst these ones yet, and I won't be abusing it the way the Lanikai soprano has suffered :-)

Hi Alan,
Even though some swine has deleted your website, it is in the Web Archive, so you can recreate pages, if not the files saved on it. This is the home page in the Web Archive/Wayback Machine:
http://web.archive.org/web/19960101000000-20080706181347/http://www.4thpeg.com

And here are all the archived versions of the site:

Good luck :-)
Best wishes,
Lizzie

On one of your posts in the instrumentalist's group, you posted a URL that doesn't work. I would enjoy seeing your tab for O Tannenbaum, but this link didn't work: http://4thpeg.com/blog/tabs/

Thanks.

Profile Information

What are your favorite ukuleles?
The mahogany soprano I made and my custom maple tenor.
Who are your favorite ukulele players?
Ukulele Ike, Gerald Ross, Patsy Monteleone, Dominic "Dominator" Pieranunzio, Joel Eckhaus, John King, Lyle Ritz, Aldrine Guerrero, Brian Hefferan, Aaron Keim, and a ton of others I'm anxiously waiting to hear from

Ukulele Arrangements

  • Gaudete I always loved this one so I did up a uke arrangement for it. Hope you like it too.
  • O Tannenbaum I modeled this arrangement from Vince Guaraldi's great jazzy arrangement from "A Charlie Brown Christmas". What can I say? The man was a genius taken from us far too early. Love ya, Vince!

What the heck's a "Pennsy"?

I'm one of the many cases who grew up "nicknameless". No shortening of "Alan" to "Al". No cool nick such as "Flash" or "Bud". I'm also cursed with the name I go by, "Alan", not being my first name. It's actually my middle name. "Philip" is my first name and this has doomed me to a lifetime of uncertainty. Am I "Philip A. Johnson"? Or perhaps "Philip Alan Johnson"? Maybe "P. Alan Johnson" which I adopted as my legal signature.

So if I was ever going to have a nickname, I decided I'd have to do i… Continue
