- i first pickup a uke when i was 10. my dad bought one in hawaii when he was young. i learned to play a little. i played guitar in rock bands for 10 years. never got to good. always played my dads uke when i went to my folks house. they got me one for my birthday cuz i seemed to be enjoying myself so much. once i started playing again it was all over. full time unapologetic uke player. never felt such a bond with a musical instrument. i recommend uke playing for all of lifes woes.
