used Behlen's violin varnish, which creates a beautiful finish, with lots of "pop" to the grain...but it's kind of soft and susceptible to fingerprints.
That just might be a result of my poor mixing skills, but will try Tru Oil finish on uke #3, as Tru Oil should be a bit more durable.
